This family of 4 was ready for a new home but wanted to stay in the same location.  New construction was the answer.

The Challenges

The entire structure was taken down to the foundation.  We upgraded the perimeter foundation, dug out a nice storage space under the house and went up from there.  With a modern aesthetic, this home features radiant heat throughout, Fleetwood exterior pocket doors and clean trimless interior lines.  The roof structure was one of the main challenges as a series of steel beams and heavy lumber had to be craned from the small street to create the single plane shed roof supporting 3 custom sized 13′ long skylights.  Minimal trim with a variety of exterior building materials comprised of cedar, stucco and alumiumum clad this sleek yet comfortable home.  Ipe decks offer an inviting outdoor environment, great for sunny California summers.
